Who Qualifies For A Bursary Or College Student Loan From NSFAS?



The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application process.

Applications at the moment are open and can shut on fifteen December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should fulfill the subsequent criteria:

• Be a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a house by using a combined gross domestic earnings that does not exceed R350 000 per annum.

• People with disabilities qualify if their combined residence revenue will not exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and want not submit any evidence of earnings.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from households with combined R350 000 and R600 nsfas status check 000 for every annum.

Applicants are reminded to supply the proper Identity Document numbers, names, and surname, as reflected in their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds individuals who are studying or plan to research at a public university or TVET college in South Africa.

All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.

Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
